We have the best calling ever! We are the primary teachers for the CTR 7's and as you can see they are the cutest kids in the world! We were warned that they were a little rowdy, but it turns out they are no worse than Chase and so they are a piece of cake for him to handle! The boys are rambunctious yet hilarious, and the girls are innocent and adorable. We love them and wish we could be their teachers for forever :)

SHE is here! After nine long months of wondering whether Aly was going to have a girl or a boy, Evelyn Siobhan Woodbury was born on January 16th, 2010. And what a perfect and ADORABLE little girl she is. We're so happy for Chris and Aly, and can't wait to be her favorite Aunt and Uncle ;-)
Chase and I finally got our week-long honeymoon the first week of the year. The weather was a beautiful 75 degrees while we were in San Clemente, CA which made our time at the beach absolutely perfect. From there we drove up to Anaheim and got two days of fun in at Disneyland, where we were happy to see they still had their Christmas decorations up! From there we flew to San Francisco where we crammed EVERYTHING into one day, going everywhere from China Town (note the picture of Chase above) to the Fisherman's Wharf. Such a fun trip and a great break from reality!
Midnight is pushing it when it comes to my ability to stay awake these days, but we still went out on New Year's Eve because we refuse to become a lame married couple. We spent the night with family and friends, starting off at the Walker's home to celebrate our nephew Chris's birthday. It was a super good time and we ate some delicious treats, including Brittney's ever-so-splendid spiderman cupcakes! And then we headed over to Mandy Gibbons's, where we had a white elephant gift exchange, played hilariously fun games with her family, and counted down the new year! Such a fun and memorable night! Last New Year's Day Chase, Jake, and I wrote down our new year's resolutions on balloons and let them go into the sky. One of Chase's resolutions was to get married (and this was long before we were together) and it looks like he was able to check that off his list for 2009. We don't know what 2010 has in store for us, but it has A LOT to measure up to if it's going to be anywhere as good as 2009!
A couple's first Christmas together is always an exciting one. And indeed it was. We opened presents over at our house (I gave Chase the shirt he is wearing- doesn't he look handsome?- and he got me a purse and a matching ring and earrings that he made all on his own out of a coconut shell!). Then we went up the street to the Woodbury's home to spend the rest of the day with his family and mine. I absolutely love the Christmas season and was sad to see it come to an end, when I came to the realization that it doesn't have to end. We may not have the festive lights and the cheerful Christmas music, but everyday we have the ability to give to one another- especially to those in need. We have the Gospel in our lives, and we know our Savior lives and can therefore celebrate his life everyday.
As you can guess from the picture... we were Pocahontas and Captain John Smith! Some people may think we are a bit old to dress up and trick or treat... but we both beg to differ. Such a fun night... and we even got to meet up with Woody and Jessie from Toy Story (aka Eric and Darien) later on that night! Gotta love Disney :)
Since we got married in the middle of the school year, we were only able to get away to Sedona for a couple days after our wedding. It was a great 2 days though! I would highly recommend going there for a honeymoon, as it is an extremely relaxing, not to mention, beautiful environment.
Chase and I were civilly married by his dad, Bishop Woodbury, at The Castle at Ashley Manor, on September 19, 2009. The entire day is just a blur to the both of us, but we do remember one thing... and that is the rush of emotions that we experienced. It was the happiest day of our lives, and one that we will remember always. We can't wait to be sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple at the end of April this year!
Welcome to our blog! After much consideration we have decided to stop being "anti-blog" and are giving in to what we thought was only for people who had too much time on their hands. Because it turns out if we just spend the time we were taking looking at other people's blogs and apply it towards making our own blog... well that leaves PLENTY of time. So here we are. Chase and Kim. Coming to you live from A-Town. And since we are starting our blog a little late... we have decided to start our blog posts all the way back from the beginning... our wedding that is.
